~ Meet Mrs. Myers ~
I have found that if you love life, life will love you back. - Arthur Rubinstein
Hello!
I am Mrs. Jammie Myers, born and raised here in Kittanning. For as long as I can remember, I have enjoyed working with children. This eventually lead me to a job at a women's shelter during college. It was there that I would spend my evenings helping the children with their homework, while their mothers attended counseling or other necessary appointments. During this time, I realized how often a teacher can become so much more than simply one who teaches. From there, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education from IUP in 2008. I began teaching in the Apollo-Ridge School District before finding my permanent place within the Armstrong School District - my home district that I also attended as a child and adolescent. I value the education I received here and am proud to now be a teacher within my hometown.
At home, I live happily with my husband, our daughter and son, and our boxer, Bluto. I enjoy spending time at home with family, being with our families, playing and snuggling with my children, being outdoors, working on projects at home with my husband, and being creative and crafty. I am an aunt to four nephews and one niece. I value my friendships and family and credit our close relationships to the small town that we all call home.
I pour my heart into my teaching and it is my hope that your child will leave our time together throughout 3rd grade with a year full of learning and amazing memories.
